Kappa Delta (ΚΔ), often affectionately known as KD, is a national sorority with a rich history of empowering women and fostering strong bonds of sisterhood. Founded on October 23, 1897, at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia, Kappa Delta is one of the "Farmville Four" sororities established at the university.

A cornerstone of Kappa Delta's mission is making a lasting impact through its national philanthropies. Kappa Delta proudly supports the Girl Scouts of the USA 👧 and Prevent Child Abuse America 💙. Members actively engage in initiatives on their campuses and within their communities to further these causes, including hosting "Shamrock 🍀" events to raise money for child abuse prevention. They also provide support to the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU and contribute to Orthopedic Research Awards.

With headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, Kappa Delta has grown to include over 309,000 lifetime members as of 2024, with 167 active collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae chapters worldwide.
